Studio 6A, until July
Matthew Bakkom is an American artist who uses sculptural tools in order to fashion multi-disciplinary projects that expose the various ways in which historical narratives are created and function. During his time at IMMA, Matthew hopes to explore these issues through two different projects, which will allow him to further his knowledge of Irish history and culture. The first project involves research into local archives and institutions and the second consists of an investigation into the question of representation of Viking culture in an Irish context.
The Process Room
Matthew Bakkom's work was shown in the Procss Room, first floor, west wing galleries from 4- 27 June 2004.
