Touring Exhibition from the Collection: Irish Art Now - From the Poetic to the Political

Art Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador St Johns, Canada
30 January - 9 April 2000

This exhibition, currently touring North America, is organised by the Museum and Independent Curators International, New York. Thirteen artists are represented in this exhibition presenting a reading of Irish art in the 1990s and examining the repositioning of Irish identity in works drawn primarily from the Collection. The exhibition was recently seen in Boston and will be shown in Pittsburg and Chicago later in 2000.
