IMMA offers FREE guided tours detailing the history and architecture of the buildings and grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham (RHK) visiting the Baroque Chapel, the Great Hall and the Masters Quarters.
During the summer season 2010, guided tours will run from 1 July to 5 September. Tours commence from the Heritage Exhibition Room at the rear of the reception desk in the entrance hall, each day.
Tour Times:
Wednesday to Saturday: 11:00am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm
Sundays: 2.00pm and 4.00pm
Tuesdays: No tours but the Great Hall and Baroque Chapel are open to the public to view
Mondays: Closed
Booking is not required but groups may prebook by telephoning +353-1-612 9970 or email: heritage@imma.ie Tours are wheelchair accessible.
The Garden House in the formal gardens of the RHK is also open to the public druing the summer season from Tuesday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm and on Sundays from 1.00pm to 5.00pm. Closed on Mondays.

Hertiage Week
National Heritage Week runs from Saturday 21 to Sunday 29 August, For Heritage Week the Royal Hospital Kilmainham will be giving special guided tours of Bully’s Acre, the oldest burial ground in Dublin. There will be two tours, on Sunday 22 August at 2.00pm and Sunday 29 August at 2.00pm. Tours are free and no booking is required. These tours are not wheelchair accessible.
