Cuban artist, Carlos Garaicoa has been working since the early 1990s using a multidisciplinary approach that includes architecture, urbanism, narrative, history, and politics to explore notions of 20th-century utopias. To mark the exhibition preview, of works by Garaicoa at IMMA, the artists discusses his interests in urban planning and a citys architectural social fabric, which Garaicoa often illustrates through large installations using various materials such as crystal, wax candles and rice-paper lamps.
This event is followed by the exhibition preview and wine reception.
