In 2011 alone, IMMA acquired 182 new works, mainly through donation. A number of artists generously donated works including Liam Gillick, Nevan Lehart, Sean Shanahan, Maria Simonds-Gooding, Fergus Martin and Anne Tallentire, and a further 18 works, mainly paintings, were donated by IBRC formerly Anglo Irish Bank).
