Mirror Man: Prints by Tim Mara
This exhibition marks the generous donation of 8 Tim Mara prints by his family to the Museum.
Tim Mara worked in printmaking as an artist and teacher for 25 years, teaching at NCAD, Dublin, and later becoming Head of Printmaking at the Royal Collage of Art, London.
He was particularly noted for his use of screenprinting, etching and lithography.
Born in Dublin in 1948, Tim Mara moved with his family to England in 1953 where he continued to live and work.
He died in 1997.
The exhibition, which comprises some 70 works, has been selected by the artist Albert Irvin and will tour to the Crawford Gallery in Cork and the University of Ulster in Belfast, following its showing at IMMA.
It is accompanied by an exhibition guide and a catalogue published by the Royal Collage of Art in 1998.
