Langlands and Bell: The House of Osama bin Laden
This exhibition comprises six works created by Langlands and Bell in response to a two-week visit to Afghanistan in October 2002, commissioned by the Imperial War Museum, London. The resulting exhibition features an interactive digital model allowing virtual exploration of Osama bin Laden’s house and its surroundings. Also shown are a series of photographs of the signs Non-Governmental Organisations placed in the streets to signify their presence, and a film of live footage the artists shot at a murder trial in the Supreme Court.
The exhibition is commissioned by the Imperial War Museum, London, and is curated by Angela Weight, its Keeper of the Department of Art.
The exhibition tour is organised in collaboration with IMMA.
