Visit Artists’ Studios 2013

The next open studio event at IMMA is scheduled for Saturday 11 May when Visit 2013 will take place. All four artists currently in studios at IMMA will be available on the day from 12noon until 6pm, those artists are; Michelle Browne, Janine Davidson, Ramon Kassam and Joan Stack. As part of IMMA’s Visit experience family events will also take place with two of the artists currently working in our studios, select this link for further information.

Visit 2013 is a weekend event which will see artist’s studios organisations all over Dublin city opening their doors to the public. Artists make their artworks in buildings that are scattered throughout the city, and Visit 2013 invites you to enter these usually private spaces, talk to the artists and see their work first hand.

In Dublin City, artist’s studios old and new exist in a variety of buildings including industrial warehouses, Georgian buildings, converted stables and former shop units. You might not be aware that the building on the corner or down the road from your house is actually a hub of artistic activity. ARP Studio Activities

During the refurbishment at IMMA and the short-term postponement of the Artists’ Residency Programme, IMMA is working in association with Black Church Print Studio, Ormond Studios, Richmond Road Studios, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios and Wickham Street Studios to provide working spaces for artists in the studios at IMMA. We are delighted that the following artists: Basic Space; Michelle Browne; Janine Davidson; Caroline Doolin; Mary-Jo Gilligan; Tracy Hanna; Ramon Kassam and Joan Stack were selected for use of a studio space, for up to four months, between the period November 2012 to June 2013 at IMMA.
