New Galleries closed until 22 June due to installation of upcoming exhibition

The Museum wishes to advise visitors that, owing to the installation of a new exhibition, Cloud Illusions I Recall , the New Galleries at IMMA will be closed until 22 June 2013.

The exhibition I knOw yoU , which takes a fresh look at contemporary art in Europe, and a film work, Secretion , 2012, by internationally acclaimed Derry born artist Willie Doherty continues in our off-site location IMMA at NCH until 1 September 2013.

While the New Galleries will be closed the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham will remain open. There are four outdoor art trails available in the grounds and the café and bookshop will remain open as normal.
Public Tours
These informal tours provide a general introduction to exhibitions in the New Galleries. Tuesday 2.30pm, Wednesday 2.30pm, Thursday 2.30pm, Friday 2.30pm, Saturday 12noon and 4.00pm, Sunday 2.30pm. Each tour lasts 30 minutes. No booking required. Tours may not take place if other Education & Community Projects/Talks/Lectures/Events are in progress. Please inquire at reception on the day.
Guided Tours
Guided tours of the exhibition Analysing Cubism  will be available from 20 February for special interest groups including schools, colleges and adult education. Tours are available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10.00am, 11.45am and 4.00pm, and on Wednesday at 11.45am and 4.00pm. Each tour lasts 45 minutes. Booking required.   Maximum School group size 32. Two adults should accompany each school group. Maximum Adult group size 50. Tours of I knOw yoU – from 23 April at IMMA at NCH, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2
Tuesday 2.30pm, Wednesday 1.15pm, Thursday 6.00pm, Friday 1.15pm, Saturday 2.30pm and Sunday 2.30pm. No booking required.

Guided Tours
