National Programme > About the Programme

Daphne Wright, Where do broken hearts go & Patrick Graham, Ark of Dreaming. Borrowed Memories. Luan Gallery, Athlone. 30 November 2012 - 24 February 2013

The IMMA National Programme is designed to promote the widest possible involvement with the Museumís Collection and programmes, through supporting access opportunities to the visual arts in a variety of situations and locations in Ireland.

Shane Cullen, Fragmens sur...Borrowed Memories. Luan Gallery, Athlone. 30 November 2012 - 24 February 2013

The National Programme works with a range of Arts Centres, galleries and museums and is also committed to working with venues normally outside the scope of the contemporary art world.

The design and implementation of these exhibitions and projects often involves an engagement with the various communities, using the Collection as the core resource to evoke a series of different responses in each venue.

IMMA also lends extensively from the Collection both nationally and internationally to support the exhibition programmes of other public institutions.
