Lecture + Roundtable Discussion | El Lissitzky: The Artist and the State
Saturday 17 October, 3pm - 5.30pm
To mark the closing weekend of the El Lissitzky exhibition, Catherine Morris presents a lecture on her research into the work and ideas of the revolutionary figure Alice Milligan. Followed by a discussion addressing Lissitzky’s enthusiasm for the revolution and the relevance of his ideas for contemporary artists and society, as Ireland approaches its centenary year 1916.
