Panel Discussion: Lessons in social & creative pedagogies for our time
Tues 7 Jul, 6.30pm, Project Spaces
Drawing on recent debates on art/design education and socially engaged art practice, this discussion revisits overlooked models of schooling and informal education systems of the past, as a framework to address the social functioning and potential of artistic education today. More info/Book here

This discussion draws on some of the innovative education projects that underpin the forthcoming project A Fair Land in August.

Critical Talk: Griselda Pollock
Tues 12 July, 6.30pm
Set against the backdrop of the Carol Rama exhibition and the art of otherness, internationally acclaimed feminist theorist and art historian Pollock traces feminist memories and interventions in art history, exploring how repressed elements of modernist discourse avoids crucial questions of desire, sexuality and gender. E.gress National Tour Closing Event

Artist's Performative Response: Carol Rama/Aideen Barry

Working betweeen the personal and the kinetic, artist Aideen Barry presents a live performative film that invites the public to experience contested spaces of the domestic, studio, and gallery as it relates to ideas of obsession, claustaphobia, and femininty in both artists' practice. More info/Book here
