Altered Images: Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny

Altered Images is the result if a partnership intiative of IMMA’s National Programm, Mayo County Council Arts Office and South Tipperary County Council Arts Service.  Accessible, interactive and inclusive in ethos, Altered Images aims to stimulate engagement with the visual arts for the general public and particularly for people with disabilities.  The exhibition aims to enhance people's engagement with the works through the tacticity of relief models, by listening to the audio and artist's descriptions.  the exhibition includes works by artists Thomas Brezing, David Creedon, Alice Maher, Caroline McCarthy and Abigail O'Brien, with especially commisioned works by Amanda Coogan and Daphne Wright.  Altered Images is a touring exhibition and has previously been shown at the Co, Museum Clonmel, Ballina Arts Centre, IMMA and The Crawford Art Gallery.
