Book a place on the IMMA Primary School Programme
IMMA Guided Tours
These informal tours provide a general introduction to exhibitions at IMMA. Tour times: Tuesday to Friday 1.15pm, Saturday 12noon and 4.00pm, Sunday 2.30pm and 4:00pm. Each tour lasts 30 minutes.
Please arrive early for tours as numbers are limited (max 20).
No booking required. Tours may not take place if other Education & Community Projects/Talks/Lectures/Events are in progress. Please inquire at reception on the day.
Guided tours are available for special interest groups including schools, colleges and adult education. Tour times: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10:00am, 11:45am, 2:30pm and 4.00pm, Wednesday at 11:45am, 2:30pm and 4.00pm.

Tours are led by IMMA staff and are free of charge except for occasional temporary exhibitions - students in full time education are exempt from this charge.
Guided Tours of the Patrick Scott exhibition
There is a fee for guided tours of the Patrick Scott exhibition for adult groups. The fee also includes a day ticket to the exhibition for each person on the tour. Guided Tour Fee: Group size: 0 – 10 = €40; 11 – 25 = €75; 26 – 50 = €150. Tours can be paid for and booked online, please click here to book.
There is no fee charged for schools/third level/full time education groups or community programmes.

Booking an IMMA Guided Tour

Teachers, tutors or group leaders can book guided tours of IMMA's exhibitions for their students/groups.
Each tour is led by IMMA staff.
Guided tours last 45 minutes approximately. There are set times for guided tours: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10.00am, 11.45am, 2:30pm and 4.00pm and Wednesday at 11.45am, 2:30pm and 4.00pm.
Two adults should accompany each school group (Max. 32 pupils). Please contact the museum should you have difficulty meeting these requirements.

All children and school groups must be accompanied by an adult throughout the tour.
- Lunch room facilities for Primary School Groups: A basement room near the cafe is available for children eating packed lunches. Please book online as part of the tour booking process. Please request by contacting Katy Fitzpatrick at tel: 01-612-9914.
If due to unexpected circumstances your tour date needs to be changed, the Museum will contact you to arrange a new date.

IMMA Primary School Programme
IMMA’s spring Primary School Programme will focus on the major exhibition of Patrick Scott’s work, Image Space Light, which is in the Garden Galleries. Sessions, which comprise a tour and workshop, run from 10:00am - 12:00noon, Tuesday to Friday. A fee of €25 is charged for the Primary School Programme. However, if your school is listed in the DEIS Scheme, there is no charge.
